Hello My Name is Vivian of @bubbly.vivi
Who would have thought a cosplayer would actually be a sweet but feisty young lady from a suburban town in Malaysia? We first got to know her when she started out reviewing beauty products from Althea and that her passion is so great, she would travel all the way from Perak to the city to attend one of our beauty workshops.
With her love of reviewing skincare products, she has started an Instagram channel dedicated to sharing reviews and content that she creates. We have seen her style changed from the time we stalked her, and we love how she continues to improve with her self-taught skills and improvement workshops such as the one she attended in the city.
Such passion and dedication to beauty are why we would love to interview her for our International Women's Day month. Secretly, we hope to see her cosplay more when she reviews beauty products!
1. Tell us a bit about yourself and where you're from!
Thank you for the opportunity for me to introduce myself. I am Vivian, and I am in my late 20s. I grew up with my brother and my single mother since 1998 after my late father lost a battle with cancer. I work as a secondary school English teacher in a suburban area in Perak during the day, and spend my night gaming and working on skincare reviews.
2. Could you share what made you start a makeup channel on Instagram?
I miss cosplaying and dressing up in Lolita fashion a lot, but these hobbies are expensive to maintain, so I hardly do them anymore now. Although skincare products can be expensive, I find more joy in sharing my thoughts and experiences using them. I am also happy to make new friends and reviewers from around the world who share the same passion. Please keep an eye for more reviews on my Instagram~

3. The famous question: skincare or makeup? (we think we know the answer!)
Without a doubt, skincare! I believe that if I take good and proper care of my skin, then my skin will be in its best condition. Nothing makes me feel better with healthy, glowing skin. Makeup comes next, and that is how it can complement my nice skin.
4. Any advice for those struggling in similar circumstances?
5 by 5 Rule
If it will not matter in 5 years, then there is no need to spend 5 minutes being upset about it.
5. What's your favorite product from Althea? and why!
Definitely the A'bloom fruit sheet masks! They are so cheap, even my school students can afford to repurchase them because the masks suit many skin types. My personal favorite is the Avo-Cuddle-Me Nourishing Avocado Mask because it makes my face look plumper, softer and so supple even until the next day 💘
