Althea Raya Makeup Look on Fresh Brew RTM TV2

Annyeong Altheans! We’ve recently gotten the amazing opportunity to work with a Malaysian TV station called RTM TV2 on the Fresh Brew show! They were kind enough to give us a little beauty segment where we could create a Raya makeup look to celebrate this festive season. To create just the right look, we’ve gotten Neesot, our makeup artist of the day to showcase Althea’s products as best as they can be. Here’s the beauty breakdown on how it all went down!

Getting set up to shoot

Fresh Brew is a local talk show where they showcase lifestyle and entertainment segments catering to the Malaysian lifestyle. During the beauty session, Neesot was joined by model Cuwie and host Zooey Tan to demonstrate a chic glam Raya look that can also be worn every day!

Lights, camera, action!

To start off, the makeup artist used Althea’s Petal Velvet Sunaway to prep the skin, and she mentioned that it was important that a good makeup look starts with the right base. She then went in with the Meringue Puff and Flawless Creamy Concealer to whisk away any blemishes and dark circles, giving the model a perfected base. Once that was done, everything was set down with the Petal Velvet Powder to smoothen and prevent the makeup from sliding around.

Now, onto some color! For the eyes, our makeup artist used the Sunrise and Moonrise Eyeshadow Palette that was made in collaboration with Bunga Citra Lestari to create a gorgeous eye look that was a mix of burgundy, purple and gold. She even used the lighter shades of this palette as a highlight on the face! Neesot also put another one of our products up to the multitasking challenge: the Watercolor Cream Tint! For a cohesive look, she matched the lips with the cheeks, using Marron Cream to give the model a monochromatic blushed finish.
