Royal Skin Real Mud Mask

When your skin feels clogged with impurities and nasties you've collected over time, nothing quite cleanses as deeply as a good mud mask. The clay component of mud masks is rich in minerals that pull out all that gunk from your skin, making you feel clean and fresh. However, those masks do come at a messy cost: mud masks can be troublesome to apply evenly and difficult to wash off, resulting in sensitive, red skin due to overzealous scrubbing. Royal Skin's Real Mud Mask gives you the best of both worlds: the cleaning power of mud and the convenience of a sheet mask!

We got our lovely Danish Swan to try out Royal Skin's Real Mud Mask, and see if it was as easy to use as it was good for the skin. This mask claims to moisturize, brighten, firm, minimize pores, improve the skin's barrier and supply nutrients to the skin, all in just 20 minutes! Made for all skin types, it also contains 100% natural Boryeong Mud Powder to draw out gunk and keep the skin healthy.

How to use:
1. After cleansing skin, apply on a toner all over the face.
2. Remove mask from packaging, then open up and apply onto the face according to the cutouts of the face.
3. Leave on for 20 minute, then gently peel away and pat remaining essence into the skin.

The mask was surprisingly easy to use and not messy at all. When first removed from the packaging, the sheet is plump with essence and has a coating of mud on one side. However after leaving it on for 20 minutes, the sheet becomes thinner and the mud becomes lighter in colour. When peeled off the skin, there was a little bit of mud residue left on the skin, but nothing that can't be splashed away with some water.

This mud mask felt really moisturizing and cooling on the skin, and after removal left my skin feeling really soft! However it wasn't as moisturizing as I'm used to (I love those super creamy masks) and I needed to rinse away some leftover residue on the skin after.

We love Royal Skin's Real Mud Mask for times when we need that deep cleanse minus the tedious mess. The interesting mud factor also made this mask really cool to look at! If you guys are keen on trying this out for yourself, you can find them on Althea's site (just pop Royal Skin into the search bar). What do you guys think of these sheet masks?
